I joined KWANSAI GAKUIN University's School Festival last week-end with my girlfriend. Kwansai Gakuin university is in Hyogo prefectere and my girlfriend is a student there. Last friday, I went to Hyogo after school by high-way bus from Nagoya station and reached her house at 10 pm.

On November 1 st, I went to KG university and walked around with her, buying foods and talking together. There were a lot of shops and foods there so I was very impressed to see them. I ate Takoyaki, Hashimaki, Waffle, ice cream, Tamasen, and Yakimeshi. On the day we watched great fire works in KG, which was really beautiful. This was a first time in this year that I saw fire works so I was excited to see fire works.

After that, we went to a bar in Nishinomiya city and drunk a lot. In her house, because we were tired and sleepy, we slept soon. On Saturday, Sunday and Monday I spend great time together.

Thanksgiving day

Hi ! My group decided to research Thanksgiving day and do presentation about this topic. In this topic, I decided to reserch '' turkey ''.

I’m going to talk about Turkey. Turkey is the biggest bird among the Galligomes (Kizi in Japanese). The length of male’s body is about 122cm and female’s body is half that of the male one. Their body is covered with shining and polished feathers. During their breeding term, male’s body becomes bright and makes a group with one male and several females. If a turkey feels dangerous, it can fly to escape from danger.
It is said that turkeys were introduced from north America to Spain in 1519 and to England for Henry Ⅷ in 1541 and was gradually accepted to the world.
Turkey is not widely accepted meal because many people think that it’s only for Thanksgiving day. However, the fat is less oily than a chicken. In the United States, most people don’t eat wild turkey. They eat farmed ones during the season of Thanksgiving day. For American’s Thanksgiving day, more than 45million turkeys are eaten and American people consume more than 1.2billion kilos of turkey on this day!!

Life is beautiful

This is a movie about a man who saves his family despite cruel and terrible situation because of war. A main character of this movie is Guide, who is a Jewish Italian, and he gets to love Dola at first sight, who is a elementary school teacher and very beautiful woman. They married each other since Dola liked Guide's purity, funniness, and romance.

Several years later, Guide, Dola and their son are forced to move to far place to be worked because of WWⅡ. The situation is terrible because good food is not served and people are forced to work hard without rest. Five-year-old his son worries about this situation.(Of course, He doesn't have to work there.) He often asks Guide when that situation will end and what that situation is because he can't understand war.

One day, when people are working, German comes to attack people there. Guide encourage his son and cheers him. Guide is killed by German solder, but his son doesn't understand his father's death. After that, he is helped by American solders, which means Germany surrenders and war is finished.

I think Guide is very brave and grand person since he saved his family with imaginative idea and great humor. I have never seen an actor like him. When I watched this movie for the first time, I was really impressed by this movie and couldn't help crying since the story is so real and moving. I strongly recommend this great movie to you if you have never seen Life is beautiful. I have watched a lot of moving movie like this, but I' m sure that life is beautiful is the most moving movie I have ever watched.

My memorable summer

Hi, long time no see. I'd like to tell you about my summer vacation in Canada. I am happy if you read my blog all. In this summer vacation, I visited Canada with another NUFS members for a month to study English and to visit a lot of famous places in Canada. I really had a good time in Canada and made a lot of friends there.

I left Japan on July 31th from Kansai International Airport to Vancouver and came back to Japan on August 28th. During a month life in Canada, I learned a lot of things and met new people from different countries. I studied ''English Conversation'' at University of Toronto, staying at Canadian's house as home-stay with my friend from NUFS for three months.

There were three people in my family : mother, father, and their three-year-old son. Though I couldn't speak English very well, my host family were so kind to me that I could be relaxed in my house. When I was at home, I tried to talk to my mother and father because I thoght it was a really good opportunity to imoprove my English skill. By talking with them, I learned a lot about Canada and America so I'm sure that it was a great experience to talk to them in English.

Time in Toronto passed very quickly but it was a precious time. After studying English and staying in Toronto, I went to Banff, which was really beautiful. I took so many pictures and had a happy time there. Banff is resisted as one of the world heritage in the world so I had been looking forward to visiting there. If I have a time and money, I'd like to go to Toronto and Banff since they gave me precios time and memory in this summer.
